This summer will be like the twelve labors of Hercules. The program I'll run through is like a return to training seven years back. At that time I was doing track&field so I had a great cardio and I did a lot of weights and dryland.
That was the days back in my hometown but then I could not skate at all. The last years in Helsinki has brought me to a decent technique that I will continue working on more when I come back to Finland in October. But so far this season is looking like combining all the good that works from the last six years.
Gaining more strength is essential when I train outside because it drains one out really fast if you're not bulked enough. That is one reason why the skaters in 80's were so fast.
Now just running and increasing circulation through that and beginning lifting are the main goals within the first month and a half of training.
I miss Finland and Helsinki and Oulu alot, many reasons to that but to know for all I'm holding the flag up for Finland out here.
