Last weekend I did my third time trials and I'm really happy with the direction that my skating is going right now. I did my best time on 500 meters for a while at sea-level finishing 38,33. The thousand on the other hand was the same as two weeks ago 1.18,6 but I trust and hope that resting and tapering before the races in Berlin will bring my endurance up and give me more snap on both distances.
Other than that in this post I wish to thank all the people that I met durig my stay. First thanking the wonderful family that took me in as a part of their family. It was truly an honor and without the Bernico's I could've never made this trip as succesfully. Some day I hope to have the possibility to return this generosity to someone I believe in when I have the opportunity. The next I want to thank my coach Bob Fenn for his valuable help in training me to the shape that I am in now. Finally among all the other people I wish to thank the whole crew of Sandbar in Pewaukee and all the regulars that I had the pleasure to become friends with during my dinners there. For all the people visiting Milwaukee during summer make sure to drop by this place in Lake Pewaukee, Waukesha. A warm and laid back sports bar on the shore of Lake Pewaukee. I remember few sunsets really well enjoying my dinner at the patio and gazing over the lake at the sun. Simply beautiful.
Some day I will return to Milwaukee though I'm not sure yet when but I will definitely come back to America some day during the next year.
Today's the travel day so it will be long but I'm so excited to go back that I can hardly sit still. Get back to you readers when I get to Berlin!
Signing out from Chicago, Illinois,
Jarmo
