Me after our weight training wearing my club shirt from my hometown in Finland. Never forget your roots, where you come from, and all the precious people that you have had on the way to where you are now. :] For me that heart represents all the experiences that I carry with me day by day.
So here goes got the test results yesterday but could not upload them until today! All the graphs are missing so even I did not get that much out of them but at least I can save it for the next test for myself to compare how I have been able to build during the summer. The next test in Marquette should be in late September just before I end my internship. Also there will be another VO2 max in LaCrosse again in the beginning of August.
The biggest thing I guess is that I am already counting days until I get back on the ice...
The ice will open up on August 10th and we will train on it for the first time on 11th. It will be fantastic :) Yesterday we had a super hard workout again with Loooads of dryland imitations and then weights on top of that. The good thing though was that it was really hot. Probably around 86F or around 28 in Celsius. I could feel it already in my warm up that my muscles were warm and even though it was bit humid it was still easier to train than on colder days.
So now it will be the first time that we are training 3 days in a row. Today was clearly an easier day even though it included tactical skating drills. The thing I have to keep on eye for the coming days is how I will recover as it took me about an hour this morning to finish my porridge. Just felt shaky, weak and nauseous. But managed okay after that with a busy day at work.
Weekend should be a double session but we will see about that. Also remember that it will be the Father's Day on Sunday!!
We had some storm around here today with plenty of water and thunder. Almost started digging around for a rubber boat in case of a flood :P But so take care and get back maybe with a video on the weekend.. Could it be time for speedskater tricks episode 2....
Big hand to all my readers,
Jarmo
